COOMERA CHILDCARE CENTRE

Whispering Gully Coomera has been created to provide an innovative and fresh environment for the children.

Our Coomera centre has a fabulous location offering access to both Brisbane and the Coast. We firmly believe that Whispering Gully Coomera will provide the standard of excellence a growing community expects. Our centre has generous playgrounds that will provide a stimulating experience for the children & maybe even one or two of the parents who sneak out to have a play!

Whispering Gully has a Steiner influenced philosophy that has been refined over the past fifteen years at our well-regarded centre in Robina. We pride ourselves on introducing innovative teaching methods that challenge the status quo & promotes the inquisitive natures of the aspiring individuals of tomorrow. 

Our nature-inspired playground has a loose parts area filled with recycled objects for your children to play and explore. We are passionate about keeping your children healthy and safe by using non-hazardous chemicals for cleaning. Our onsite cook provides three nutritionally balanced meals for your children. Good health is important to us, which is why we offer various activities such as exercise, movement and yoga sessions, which promote active and healthy living.

Our centre strongly believes in focusing on each individual child while preparing them for formal schooling, using the method of learning through play. Our teachers are fully qualified and passionate about early education, and we use a QLD government approved kindergarten program for our 4-5-year-olds to assist pre-schoolers in preparing them for their first year school.

The environment at Whispering Gully is fun, but relaxing. Transitions from one activity to another are soothingly accomplished by using songs instead of verbal directions. We also have a daily relaxation period, which we call “Storyland”. These are prop-based stories; told before naptime, which promote a period of winding down, quiet time and relaxation.

CENTRE INFO

Whispering Gully is an Australian Approved Provider entitling families, who are eligible, to access the Childcare Subsidy (CCS) which is paid directly to the centre you attend.

CCS is calculated by Centrelink based on information the family provides related to income & work/study activity.

On enrolment you will be required to sign a Complying Written Arrangement (CWA) to confirm your child’s booking.

QKFS plus: If your child is enrolled in the kindergarten program, and you have a health care card, you may be entitled to further discounts. Please enquire with the office staff.

Enrolment and Registration Fee

A $60 registration fee is required to secure your child’s position. This allows the spot to be held open for up to 14 days prior to your child commencing.

We also utilise a waiting list for parents if a place is not currently available or is required at a future date.

Whispering Gully is open 52 weeks a year excluding public holidays.

Orientation & Settling in Period

We understand that leaving your child in care can be a very scary time for both the child and parents. We attempt to do our best to ease everyone through this period via good communication with all concerned.
